Hey everyone!

So we've been super busy enjoying our Christmas and Ryan's time off...spending lots of time over at gma and gpa Thomas's house. Nate and Joy were back for a few days, we ate lots of food, put together this giant really hard puzzle, ate more food, visitors came to see the boys, you know, hangin out. It was great and really relaxing.

AND THEN, Steph Eidam and her mom, Deb, came up thurs night and stayed until Sunday, cooking up a storm and lovin on the boys and letting Ryan and I get some things done around the house. It was awesome! I always feel bad though cause when it comes to the nights, there's no tellin how much sleep everyone will get, I hope it doesn't take too long for them to recover from some of the damage. =) Ethan and Garrett are still working on gettin their clock tickin so they know night and day. Hopefully that doesn't take much longer to pick up.

Right now, our family (still wierd) is celebrating New Years with our friends, Josh and Emily. The boys are out cold...apparently they're not really interested in watching the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. That will come, Ry says. =) At any rate, can't put pics up cause they're on our computer at home. Sorry. And I said that in the last post. Wow I'm getting bad at this. BUT we got some good ones at Christmas and their first baths and of Deb and Steph holding the boys...gonna have to put em up before I get too far behind. =)

Hope all is well and everyone will remember their evening tonight! Be safe and make good choices!!! =)

Out and About!

Today was my first day out with the boys all by myself! Actually, we're still out. The boys' first trip to the dentist. They love it I think. Earlier today the three of us stopped over at a friend's house to hang out with two of Ryan's classmates and their small kidos, that was pretty fun. And we have some company from Nebraska coming tonight thru the weekend, Deb and Steph Eidam, so in the mean time- whilst I was on the road- I figured I'd stop by so the ladies can hold to their hearts content. And that is exactly what they're doing. I did have to change a diaper here and Ethan tried to pee on me but I saw it coming and covered the weapon. HA! Walked away with dry clothes. yesssss

Since I'm still at the office, I can't put some pics up yet, so when I get home tonight we'll see if I can add a few action shots. Christmas was awesome, we had a blast as a family hanging out over at gma and gpa's house pretty much the whole time...got to hang out with Uncle Nate and Joy... Ryan works today and tomorrow and then he's got another 4 day weekend. And then they will be yet another week older and closer to schedule-age. =) Right now they kinda run the show, but they don't see it comin that we WILL take over soon. haha.

Hope everyone had a great holiday! Pics to come soon...

Dad and the boys...

Here's some great action shots of my man and our men. I'm not going to write which one is which cause most of the time it's just a blanket blob with a bit of face showing. haha. But you all know which one Ry is (the older one). =)

In no particular order...

and a good nudie one cause it's hilarious. =)

BIRTHDAY!!!

Ryan's birthday today...I delivered a 'tooth cake' today to the office...hahaha....that lady needed to take a tooth anatomy class though, barely looked like teeth- but it was still cute...had a piece of floss between the two molars and pink gums at the bottom. HA! I'll post a pic as soon as the ladies send me a copy.

And tonight we're headed to Tosi's, a shmancy italian place with his parents...that will be fun.

I've been walking this afternoon...still nothin. Dang. Maybe I'll order something spicy....mmmm

Well, there's some news to report....

I spose to keep all my readers in the loop...yesterday I had an appt at the hospital for a non-stress test...they monitor the dude's heart rates and all the movement and such. After I was strapped up for about 45 minutes, the nurse came in to check the results and said, "oh wow, you're having some pretty good contractions about every 10 minutes!" My response....'wait what?...seriously?' Didn't even know it. hahaaa. SO, she kept trying to explain to me what I should be feeling while they were happening, and I still had no clue...but whatever. Good! Can't feel em. Today, however, slightly different story, but nothin to go to the hospital for. I had my regular appt at the clinic this morning and the doc pretty much made it sound like they were never coming out, but since the other two doctors have told me they'd induce at 38 weeks (next week) he had to go along with it, so that is scheduled for next wed, the 12th. Finally the end is in sight...but if the bubs feel like comin out earlier than that, it's more than ok with me.

Last night Ryan and I went to the gym so I could walk on the tred...pretty much in pain if I tried to go faster than 2.2. pathetic- hahahaaaaa. Anyways, everyone was staring at me for sure, and when we left the ladies at the front desk said there was someone who asked if 'that pregnant woman was trying to go into labor'...hahhahaa. YES, yes I am.

So, I was a bit discouraged after leaving the clinic this morning, only to get home to a very happy email from my second mom that cheered me up, and decided to make one for myself. Hope you all enjoy Ryan and I in the xmas spirit. =)

Well Hello.

Today is my sister's bday. Today is also mine. The big 2-5. Today is NOT the boys' bday. I'm ok with that....does anyone else feel like time is standing still. cryin out loud.

I got a brithday breakfast date with my hub and have been hanging out here at the apt for a nice relaxing day...gonna go to Chinese tonight for a yummo bday supper....and probably end the day with some football action. what a great day.

Dad said this morning that I should get a calendar out, circle the days when it would be ok for the boys to come out, and then swollow it. That way they know when is good for me. haha.

Thank you for all the phone calls today and emails...I feel loved. =)

I have a Maker....

So everyone knows that song...

I have a Maker
He calls me his own
He'll never leave me
no matter where I go
He knows my name....blah blah

You know it. If you don't, you're missin out. Oldie, but a goodie. Anyhoo, I had my first sort of 'parent' moment tonight at church when we sang that song, thinking about the two kids I know nothing about, not even what they look like....It was cool thinking about all the different things God knows about them that He will share those things with Ryan and I in his own time... Everything about our sons is unknown to us, and yet at the same time, EVERYTHING about our sons is known by someone who already loves them more than we ever can. Dad told me today God has the perfect birthday picked out for them already, not a day late.....

ode to my stomach.

What did I do this afternoon? Any guesses?? Ok I'll tell you...actually I'll show you. oooo

That's right. I cast my stomach. hahahaaaaaaaaaa.... You should see it sitting over there, now that it has been removed from my body. It's hilarious. So if anyone wants to try on a pregnant stomach, come on over! Had a pretty good time with my assistant, Emily...I made a huge mess too. Oh well. Ryan and I think that it doesn't actually look like mine, now that's it's unattached, but it does belong to me, so I guess I have to claim it. Erin ordered the kit for me last week off the internet and I would have been pissed if I went into labor before it came to me. haha.

Soup was amazing last night, as was the pizza the night before...tonight we're meeting a bunch of Ry's classmates for supper at the 5 o'clock grill bar thing....gonna be good. And then tomorrow, you guessed it, enough food to make me the stuffed turkey. This is fabulous.

Again, pry won't post before tomorrow, so HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all, and to all a good night!

more doctors...

had two appointments today...one with my regular clinic- she didn't tell me anything new...and the second at the hospital for a non-stress test, which I will be doing every Monday from now on. Basically I reclined for 45 min. on a hospital bed and drank a sprite to get em goin (pretty sure they don't need a sugar drink for that- but whatever)...had two heart monitors strapped to my stomach to listen to the little guys while I clicked a button every time I felt something move...which was like every 10 seconds. Turns out, their normal! Phewwwwwww...good thing I had that test. Sheesh. Pretty much the only thing that I want them to tell me is when they're coming out, but that's probably not going to happen, huh. =)

We're going over to some friend's house in a few minutes for some pizza, yummo. Tomorrow night I'm making chicken noodle soup for our friends, Josh and Emily, and then Ry's bro, Nate, will get into town at abouts 10:30 to begin the holiday festivities. !! Can't believe Thanksgiving is 3 days away. There's Christmas everywhere you look, music already playing on the radio, just like Thanksgiving got skipped. Show the turkey some respect. As my brother said. hahaha... R E S P E C T. The outlet mall about 25 min away opens at midnight Thurs night for some extreme shoppers, if anyone wants to come out for that. There's talk of going, but we'll see.

Back to the subject at hand: My ideal Thanksgiving. I'll list.

1. I wouldn't be 8.5 months pregnant.
2. It would last more than one day.
3. We would have a house with comfortable furniture and friends comin over just to be.
4. Nebraska wouldn't be so far away.
5. The food wouldn't take multiple ovens and days to prepare. (and I would know how to cook all of it)
6. I would never get full.
7. We would have a coffee shop in St. Joe to sit and watch the action.

Might have stuck #7 in even though it has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. =) woah, look at the time. Gotta go eat some peetza. Hope I don't go into labor before Sunday. Although....then I wouldn't have to go to all these appointments anymore.....hmmmmm

Happy Thanksgiving everyone if I don't get a chance to write again until after then!

NEWS FROM THE NORTH!!!

hahaha, that sounded exciting but there's really nothing huge going on. =) YES the picture below shows my enormous tum...but it is getting easier to lay down (I can still breathe) so something must have shifted??...who knows what the little doods are doin in there....not wanting to come out....sheeeesh.

At any rate, it has been extreeeeeemely windy here the last two days and pretty much really cold....the water is out of control. Very loud, we can hear the waves roaring from our apt. Makes me think of Nebraska...the wind, not the roaring waves. just to show you, I ran outside quick and took some pics...

As you can see, it's pretty dang windy. we pretty much don't have a beach anymore, it's all under water. Also, being the front-heavy individual that I am, I was a bit concerned I would topple over the cliff right into the thick of it, so I quickly snapped some shots and got the heck out! ppphhhhew!

A question arose this morning to be answered by all the ladies present at our bible study...what would your ideal thanksgiving be?? Interesting question...and I gave a quick answer but the more I've been thinking about it (carefully because it could create some discontentment) my answer is totally different than the one I gave this morning. BUT, it's a pretty long one...so I will save it for the next post and let you all ponder that question yourselves and maybe write about it should you have a blog. =) I'm going to go home and cook my man some supper. Bye now.

heeeeeyyyyy everyone....

So this morning I took the laptop to BestBuy to see what was wrong with the internet....turns out its $60 for them to do a check and see what's wrong with it and then tell me. And then charge me to fix it too, depending on my response. get outa town. But he just tried it to see if it would work, and waaaaaala...internet. Unbelievable. maybe it needed a break for a week. So we shall see how long this lasts.

Ryan and I did have a pretty fun weekend with the sis in town...gotta love visitors you don't have to keep entertained. Cut her hair, she cut mine (just a little), went shopping all day saturday (my ankles were HUGE after all that motion-hahaha), nursery duty for church on Sun am, out to eat a few times, painting things for the boys' room, dipped cones, ultrasound appt, then back to Chicago. Short weekend, but it was fun to have her here. And she'll be back in a month to meet the boys. woah.

Speaking of boys, latest update: they are 5 lbs 2ozs and 4 lbs 10oz. wow. I've almost gained 45 lbs myself...hahahahaaaaaaaaa, few more and Ryan and I will be the same! I'm showing no signs of them wanting to come out (to keep this PG) so our guess is the 2nd week in Dec...maybe. We have no idea. But pretty sure it's not going to be Nov. Dang. But we do think they are ridin lower than last week or so....time will tell. I'm still able to move around and wander the streets (via mobile) of st. Joe and surroundings...so that's good. I'm trying to think of everything household that I might need to stock up on before they come out....think I'm pretty much there...

Here's a good pic of dad and the boys as I sign off...

Internet at last!!

I'm sitting here in Dale's Donuts, across the street from our apartments...just to use their internet. Somethin with our connection...who knows. Anyhoo, just me and some locals...about 7 guys sittin around the table gettin their coffee refils talkin about the drinking age and being 70-something and the news that's quietly playing in the background. Being the pregnant 24-year old lady that I am, I am totally out of place, and I think I smell like a donut. It's worth it, I'm on the internet. =)

Few things to report: I loved every minute of Heather's stay. Wasn't long enough. We started making plans for her next visit, Bama's birthday weekend possibly (5 weeks from yesterday) for her to come and see the little dudes. That seems very strange to say, because I can't even think of what it will be like to do everything with two little sidekicks. The thought also does cross my mind that inbetween now and then I will have to go thru a lot of pain. oh man. Anyhoo, I didn't take a single pic when scipp was here. I'm a horrible friend. That is unacceptable. But it was fun to drag her along to my first pedicure EVER. (even though I'm extreeeeeemly tickilish and my feet swelled up in the hot water-hahah) My toes started looking pretty bad since Ry painted them for me the last time..what a nice hub....I've been assured that a time will come soon when I can reach my feet again...

Erin come this weekend...I plan on putting her to work. Actually she'll just have to go along with me to a bunch of places around the area...still a few things I need- especially xmas shopping since that will soon become a bit difficult...

No I didn't forget about my man's newsclip...it's STILL not up on their website...now they have all of October's stuff up, but his was on Nov 1. Just have to wait a bit more...

33 weeks!!! Baby Center tells me they should be abouts 4 lbs each and around 17 inches long. We shall see if they are right next week when Erin and I go to my next ultrasound appt...then I have to start going in for checks every week! Dang it's gettin close...

That pretty much sums up the last few days or so....ttyl! I heard maybe some snow tomorrow...that would be crazy!

commmmmmoooonnn...

So the internet we swip from the neighbors hasn't been working since Tues afternoon. Sheeeeesh. Totally inconvenient. psh.

Now I am at the practice, came to eat lunch with my man, and catch up on my internet action...I wanted to post that link to see Ryan's newsclip (cause we totally didn't wake up to see it, hahaha) BUT the news station hasn't updated their own site yet, so who knows when it will be. That will keep you on the edge of your seats!

Neal just walked in, he's wearing purple. He looks very nice. hahaha. He says hi.

ok gotta go, this isn't my computer. bye

PS, heather comes tomorrow. yesssssssssssssssssss

FAMOUS!!!!!!

My husband is soooo famous. Woah. This morning we went to southbend, IN so he could do a little 'business blurb' with the local tv station...He was very professional. It was 2 minutes long, about 'supporting the troops' by bringing extra candy to his practice and it will get shipped to Iraq to the soldiers as a little taste of home. Nice. SO, it will air on Thursday am at 5:45, eastern time, so if any of you wanna get up that early to watch for a 2 minute Ryan show, OR, I'll just put the link up here on Thurs when it's posted on their website. =) Here's a shot of them gettin the facts straight before they tape it. Wish the dang camera wasn't so fuzzy all the time. sheeeeeshhhh.... doesn't he look great.....

Costume Party Fun

Saturday night, Ryan and I went to a Costume Party that was pretty hoppin. Here's a little photo of the two of us to show you how much fun we had. =)

I know you all are thinking, "wow, Ryan's clothes look tight and small". This is true. He is in fact wearing women's sweatpants and shirt, belonging to one of the ladies in my bible study. hahaha. Here are a few more shots...

Also, my farmer costume was quite comfortable...here I am pre-party...notice how my stomach is attached via jean material to my ankles. wow.

And one with little Herb...didn't even have to hold him up, just restin on the boys. hahaha

Anyhoo, all around good night o' fun. AND I'm gonna do a repeat on Wed night to hand out candy with my friend Emily, who will be Ms. Frizzle, because she is a teacher. haha. Should be a good time. Ryan, however, didn't want to put the tight clothes back on again, so they have already been returned. Dang. I'm sure he'll just want to play with their Huskie anyways. =) I'll be sure to get some more action shots. Hope there's leftover candy. mmm

As for today, had a lovely visit with the Dr this morning, things are going well. There was nothing new to report, to which I say, then why did I have to go??!? SO, I go back again in 2 weeks, and then I start the every week non-stress tests. And then I have the kids. in that order. wow. Comin around the bend. This weekend Scipp is coming to visit, couldn't be more excited to see her. I might not let her go back home. =) And once again, we have something every night this week, so the time will go by quickly and then she will be on my doorstep!! woo hoo!! Hope all is well in the lives of my readers, I will do my best to keep you posted. =)

kids are expensive.

just ordered two car seats and a stroller. woah. the little dudes better like the ones we picked out cause that was a lot of money. =) That's what they're gettin for xmas. haha. And their 0 birthday. take that!

Love the nights when we don't have to go anywhere! Gonna go hang out with my man...

Tuesday, October 23, 2007

31 weeks and counting.

Dang. we'll have 2 kids in 5-6 weeks. that's not very long. yikes! Last night we had another 'preparation for childbirth' class and watched a video about c-sections. one guy had to leave the room. hahhaa. hope i don't have to have one. actually, i'm sure the doc's have a good reason for doing one if it's necessary, and who am I to stand in the way of medical intelligence. =) Plus, get the dang kids out faster!

This week at 31 weeks: each dude is about 16 inches long and over 3 lbs. They can move their heads side to side and they're heading into a growth spurt. great. =)

Other than that, Ryan's busy with work, makin a name for himself in the community...i've been busy getting things together in the boys' room...crib, painting misc things, decorating, you know. fun stuff =). Today a cold front has come thru...overcast, chilly, still...love it. Perfect day for a book and a hot cocoa. Better get to it.

football date

Last night's Lakeshore game was SO much fun! It of course was windy (for here) and raining off and on, kinda cold, and 45 minutes away....but Ryan and I had a blast. And we won, that's a bonus.

Ryan has been trying to teach me football (sports in general) rules since...well, I think as long as I've known him...I've often wondered why sports rules is just 'known' by guys. Doesn't even matter what age. How do they learn that stuff?!??! Sheeesh, an no one can tell you an exact time of their lives when they understood the game, but just respond, 'I don't know, guess I've just always known.' But last night, we were able to witness the most amazing thing. During the second half, there was a little dude (my guess is about 3rd or 4th grade) sitting right in front of us with his dad, just the two of em. The kid was watching the game closer than I was, and asking his dad questions...one of em being about the forward progress rule. So his dad explains the rule to him (this one I actually knew about haha). So later on in the game that sort of tackle happens again and the kid just yells out 'FORWARD PROGRESS!!!!' and he was right... it was permanently stuck in his brain forever...just like that. Bet he won't even remember the time he learned about it (this was just one example of what he learned, the whole time he was doing this with his new rules) AMAZING. I was in awe. And then I started making fun of myself cause how many times has Ryan tried to teach me the positions and I still have no clue. That's why they're drawn out in formation and hanging on our fridge right now. =)

Also, Cale has made an appearance here this week, typical Cale visit. He comes 'sometime' and never knows how long he's staying (depending on when his Spring Hill friends can hang out- who are all from towns far away from me) So he stopped in on Wed night for about 45 min for food and a haircut, then left, came back Thurs afternoon, plans with his other friend in Grand Rapids didn't work out, so he ended up stayin the night, after some attempts at recording his guitar playing on our computer, some more food, shower, swim in the lake, free work out at our gym, more food, and a bed. Then Friday am he took off again. I think he might be stopping thru after Jay's wedding on Sunday to pick up his guitar he didnt' want to leave in the car all weekend and drop off Ryan's tie he borrowed. I'm sure he'll want some food too. But that's how it goes when you know Cale. =) Unpredictable, except for the food part.

Anyhoo, this weekend the plans are minimal. Very good thing. Ryan had a long week...a good week, but a long one. I think we stayed up too late pretty much every night this week, which can make for a very tired man by Friday. time to go hang out with him. yessssssssss...........

Friday, October 19, 2007

ok. time for pics.

Pics from Timeberwolf Younglife Camp. Here's the main building, cafeteria, little shops, giant gym, overlooking a giant grassy area down to the lake. cute little wood chairs you can sit and read under the overhang...you know... opposite side of the lake atop the zipline that drags you thru the water to slow you down. sweet. the dorms...you can kinda see em...
And now for some baby shower from Ryan's office. =)
The awesome cake Trish ordered for us. It was AMAZING.
The diaper cakes...talk about a hand made present! =) These took a lot of time!

An action shot of Neal guarding all the gifts. He and Ryan and Dr. Kwon loved being at a shower with 25 women. hahaha...
And the best part...the contest. As you watch, here are some key events to take note of. #1. I am not the video-er. It is a woman who is very excited to be in charge of the camera. #2. Neal cheats...bits a hole in the nipple and starts guzzeling. #3. Dr. Kwon announces that it's Diet Coke. #4. Ryan and Dr. Kwon get smoked because of cheater Mc cheater pants. =) Hope it works, first time video-posting...

Well, that's all for now...seee yaaaaaa

chili....mmmm......

Wow. I just made some chili for tonight and it is dang good. I may or may not have already tried a bowl.

At any rate...been pretty busy the last few days, as usual. Ryan and I had an excellent weekend, went up to visit one of his friends and her boyfriend that both work at Timberwolf Younglife Camp. Never been to a Younglife Camp before. (I'm from Oakland) I kept telling them, this is NOT a camp (thinking of my single experience at Timberlake Ranch Camp in jr. high). This is a resort. I can't even tell you how crazy nice it was. It was the kind of places, inside and out, that would be at a ski resort for loads of money. Very cool. I did happen to take a few photos of the place.... turns out, Ryan could be the 'camp doctor' and our whole family could stay for free for a week! AND, we would get to do all the cool things that are at the camp, whenever we wanted, free food, you know, all the perks. We should probably look into that. How awesome!

For whatever reason, the computer doesn't want to load my pics. I will have to add them lata...

Also, before we headed north to the camp on Friday, the ladies at Ryan's office and the doctor's and their wives threw a 'surprise' shower for Ryan and I. I was a bit suspicious, but was overwhelmed at the amount of ladies that came in on their Friday off to hang out for almost 3 hours with lil ol me. =) And I had some awesome pics of that too, but guess not tonight. They went crazy. We now have a crib, mattress, tons of little bathroom things, more noisy toys, bottles, about a million tiny diapers, blankets, two more pack-and-plays, outfits, fun girl things for me....lots. And the food was out of control. Trish ordered this awesome cake that was super cute, again, sorry no pics, a lady made two diaper cakes- never seen or heard of them before...THAT, was amazing. SO, once again we had tons of things to put away when we got back from our weekend out.

The best part of it was probably when they made Dr Neal, Dr Kwon and Ryan race to see who could drink the pop out of the bottle the fastest. There's a video of it, and of course all you can hear on it is all the ladies screaming and laughing histarically. Ryan got dominated. hahaha. But that's only because as soon as it started Neal bit a huge hole in the nipple of the bottle and chugged the whole thing. Cheater. It was so funny.

Cale comes tomorrow! Don't know how long he's stayin...or what time he'll get here for that matter...but that's how my fam rolls. He's coming up to Mich early for Jay's wedding to visit us and see some of his spring hill friends...so maybe he'll be around for a while yet on Thursday but who knows. =) It's supposed to rain the rest of the week, and still be about 65-70 degrees...Cale said he's still getting in the lake just to say he did. Dang. But the water's probably a lot warmer now then it is at the beginning of the summer. Still wouldn't do it. Acutally I haven't been down to the beach in a LONG time, just cause my legs would probably crumble down the huge hill or staircase. And I would have to take about 5 breaks to catch my breath. haha. Anyhoo, it will be fun to have him here and he'll be able to check out all the little dudes' stuff!

It is getting late and my feet are starting to get puffy...which means I should go to bed. The feet have yet to be as bad as the road trip back from NE. That was sick. Just ask Scipp. hahahaha. So, callin it a night. I will try the pics again sometime soonish. =) Peace out.......

Back in the Saddle....

Ok! Today is already loads better. last night we had fun with the company, Ryan did end up throwing away the cake. (of course after eating a big piece, blue spots and all) I got decent sleep- just had some good cereal, bible study in one hour, kids kickin all over the place, house is clean, life it good.

We had another appointment on Monday that I haven't written about yet. Went to the big city! Kalamazoo!! haha. It's 45 min drive east from here, but the Hospital is HUGE, many buildings...Ryan says it kinda reminds him of the Med Center in Omaha. Kinda dumpy area of town but the campus/buildings are super nice. Anyways, we didn't have to wait for either appt, both things were right on time. The ultrasound tech went through all her measurements and such in warp speed, I could barely keep up. But this time- this was so great- the table that I had to lay on was comfortable and there was a pillow AND a screen up hanging from the ceiling like the dentist so I could see what she was doing without having to crank my neck just to get a side shot of the one she's working on! Fabulous. I'm pretty sure she set a world record for the fastest twin-sound, right under an hour, I didn't even have time to get light-headed. Amazing. But the pictures she printed off for us weren't too exciting, granted they are photos of my two children swimming around inside my stomach, I could barely tell what the heck was going on cause she was movin all over the place so dang fast. Ry thought it was awesome cause he knows all the parts she was talking about. She looked at their brains for a while and they talked about each of the little sections you could see...woah. (I thought it looked pretty empty. hahahaha) BUT, kidneys are great, last time there was a bit of concern cause they were a tad enlarged I guess... AND

baby A weighs 2 lbs 12 oz
baby B weighs 3 lbs 1 oz.

WOW. Buncha fatties! They've been packin it on since the last appt!...of course, so have I, but you know. And then we met the doc, who was very cool, too bad he's not here in St. Joe, we would totally go to him. But he answered all sorts of questions we had and talked to us alot about c-sections and such. Yikes. I don't have to have one, but there's a pretty good chance. it all depends on what the dudes decide to do right before they come out. Quit floatin around already! Actually he also said after looking at the ultrasound report that he doesn't think I'll deliver that early, so it's lookin like it's going to be December something for sure. Dang. 2 more months. But it's good, cause they'll get to keep cookin until their ready, but bad for selfish reasons....and oww. The thing with our doc office here, there are 3 doctors, with 3 different experiences, 3 opinions, you know, and if I find one that would agree to give my body a chance at a normal delivery before they put me under the knife, that doesn't mean that he/she will be on call when I go into delivery. So I've gotta convince all three of em! hahaha. We shall see.

There you have it. All 3 of my men are alive and well. There is still a cold front movin on in, but like Scipp said, winter is a fabulous season and it is just around the corner! I just need to get rid of this stomach so I can fit in my sweaters!

blah blah

today the weather is super cloudy and dark, sprinkling off and on...

I slept like crap last night, which is resulting in a kind of 'sad' day for me. The combo of being tired and the weather isn't working well with me.

If any of you would like to cheer me up, feel free to leave a joke or two in the comment section. =)

This is a really depressing post. I'm really not that bad, just blah, you know. We're having company tonight and that will be lots of fun. Better start getting the food ready!

Happy One Year to US!!

Today is the magical one year anniversary. Totally awesome. Ryan and I stayed in Chicago on Friday night (yesssssss) cause he had a CE course to be at all day Saturday in that hotel. (noooooo) actually it was really fun. I just drove myself home in the morning, and he stayed there with the 4 other hygiene ladies and Neal for a class. Neal and Ry left early cause Neal's in charge- and probably cause they learned everything they needed to know =) and I drove down to Neal and Trish's house to hang out for the eve with their family and chat...then had some chinese food with Ry's parents, and back home to watch the Huskers get rocked. Actually, Ry watched the Huskers and I watched Susie teach me how to make apple pie. Today was church, chillin in the afternoon with my man, and then our small group tonight for a few hours.... Tomorrow Ry has the day off and we're off to Kalamazoo to the 'big' hospital for some great technology to tell us more about the lil guys...which means another 2 hours laying on my back about to pass out while everyone else watches em twitch all over the screen. =) But hopefully they will give us some info about the boys and a better idea of what to expect in the next 2 months. We shall see....

Aside from that, we had fun today talking about and remembering our wedding...busted out the cake from the freezer....it looks a bit suspicious. I'll explain. Whoever wrapped it up for us (we can't remember) decided it would be nice to freeze the flowers on top too...found that out when we opened it up...

Anyhoo, we found some mysterious blueish colored parts throughout the cake....supposed to be a white cake with rasberry swirly stuff, and that looked good, but we just can't get over the other color that maybe shouldn't be there...?!? What happened?? So it's still in the fridge awaiting our decision to go forth and eat. good thing we saved this awesome cake for a whole freakin year, through the move, taking up 1/2 our freezer space- only to find out that it's sportin some mold. Can mold grow in the freezer?? That's the question of the hour. And it's not like it's just on the top next to where the flowers were, it's like a blueish fun-fetti cake almost. All over the middle. Very strange. So, we are open to suggestions: to eat or not to eat, that is the question. =)

October is here!!

For those who may be concerned, we (Ryan, Scipp, and myself) had an awesome time in NE, kinda sad cause it's the last time for traveling there for a long time I'm sure.....for obvious reasons. But Ryan and I both got to visit many of our friends, and I was able to head up to Oakland and see Grandpa for a bit. Went to a barn dance. good ol' Oakland. =) oh and the shower was AWESOME!!! More loot than I've ever seen at a shower. But it was a very large crowd. Here are some photos...

on the way to the shower from Lincoln...

Are you kidding me. This was filled with fruit. Awesome.

theme: Bears- very cute. Stuffed bears, bread bears, cake bears, gummi bears, bears everywhere. =)

dad got to wear the crown for a bit too...he came after it was done to help load up the loot. =)

Dallas and I enjoying some pigs in Oakland. hahaha

Nate and Scipp and Nate's sis met us at Panera for the final send off...

And back in MI, mom and I laid out all the goods...actually this is just most of the stuff...I mean woah.

And my fav pic...Ev and Dallas put this together for the boys to learn all the faces of the fam. Family Mobile!!! I just had to lay it down cause it wouldn't stop spinning. haha. Love it!! too bad it doesn't play barbershop music. hahahaaaaaa...that would be hilarious.

And that about sums it up. What we didn't capture on film was probably the most hilarious part of the trip....driving to and from NE in the bonny with a hard top carrier on top...cuttin down on the gas. Wow. We looked awesome. And the last 2 horus of the trip there, it was whistling or howling, like an animal....and we were too tired to stop and fix it. The faster we drove, the louder the howl. Oh man. but good thing Neal and Trish let us borrow it for the weekend cause there's no way we would have come home all smashed in the baby presents. overall Great trip. So long NE, hopefully it's not a year before I'm back......

gettin ready for the little dudes...

I've been very tired lately. Could be cause I'm pregnant. Dang. Anyways, just assembled the finest rocking chair in Southwest Michigan. Came in the mail today from mom for my shower gift. Wooo hooo!! Here's a good action shot of it.

Sit in there for about 5 minutes and your stomach is bound to go crazy. Its awesome. Maybe it's like an amusement part for the dudes. I have to stop after a while cause what if they get sea sick.

Also, I will NOT post that pic I was describing down below. That would be bad. But here are a few better ones...just cause I'm a bit bigger than the last photos I put up. =)

Monday, Monday

Another week has just begun
There are many things to be done
Something planned every night
Nebraska trip is already in sight!

Last night when Ry and I got home,
feeling really uncomfortable in my clothes,
I switched and put one of Ryan's pants on
and wore them in a way I had never done.

With the waist pulled up as high as it went,
the pants hung down, hiding my legs like a tent.
It felt more comfortable to wear for a while
Ry couldn't stop laughing at my new style.

I took a picture, which you can imagine
All dressed up in that kind of fashion.
I will not post it for all to see
Who knows how many people look at this thing!

totally sweet.....

Today, let me just tell you, I had a bit of a run-around...Ryan's mom gave us this jumbo mirror to use where ever we wanted...it didn't have a frame and it was a strange shape - 32" x 37". To go and have that framed would have cost us an arm and a leg, so I chose to go purchase a frame at Meijer (the fancy WalMart) which is about 10-15 min away thru town. Find a frame for $30. Then I go to this glass/mirror company and have them cut the mirror down a bit to fit the frame- 24" x 36". $6. Nice. Cheaper than I thought. (Susie thought I could do it for about $150-200 bones. uhhhh no.) On my way thru the apartment door downstairs, trying to carry too many things at once, the back corner of the mirror decides it would be nice to 'tink' against the sidewalk. There goes the corner of the mirror, making it no longer fit into the frame that I purchased. Of course I'm by myself, pissed because I'm an idot, and just stood there staring at it like that was going to magically reattach itself. Don't you wish sometimes you could just rewind even the last 10 seconds and just 'try again'. Dang. SO, after I put away my other things, I headed back out to Meijer and found the next size smaller frame, and headed back to the mirror place to have it re-cut. (that was a bit embarassing) What I saved in exchanging the smaller frame for the first one, I paid to have the thing re-cut...so it didn't cost me anything but gas money for an hour and I was just left with a smaller product. Sheeeeesh. still an idot. But now both the frame and the mirror are safely in the apartment on the carpet. Can't wait to tell Ry. haha

Also, had another doctor's appt yesterday am...had to take a glucose test to see if I'm diabetic. Tasted like an orange pop. not bad. Made my head hurt after a while cause I had to down it in 10 minutes, but that's ok. Anyways, found out both guys are head down now...don't know how that happened. I couldn't even tell one was flippin. I can tell that the bottom of my stomach feels heavier then it did a few days back. And now the top part of my stomach is 'stomping grounds' and all four little feet are goin crazy. haha. Pretty fun.

That's all the news I have for now...seeeee yaaaaa

Another great week...

SOOOOOOO....as most of you know, I headed back to NE last Thursday for my grandma's funeral. It was AWESOME! Not something you usually hear about a funeral, but I thought everything went really well, and of course it's always good to see the extended family and catch up, even though the reason for the gathering isn't the best. Grandma's health was going down the tube fast, she wasn't in a lot of pain, which is incredible, but she was getting to the point that she didn't want to live anymore. it was getting harder for grandpa to take care of her, and she was scared of having any surgery, even if it would have helped keep her around longer. She died on 9-11, and Wednesday they were supposed to have a meeting with the doc to find out what the test results said. Grandpa didn't go, but found out later that it was actually ovarian cancer that took over...and those are sometimes hard to do anything about just because it spreads so easily. But the memories Grandpa and my uncles shared this weekend were so much fun to listen to, and good for everyone to talk about and just remember. Grandpa was pretty sad at times, but he kept tellin his jokes and making people laugh. I'll see if I can gather up some pics from the weekend....

I set my cam on top of Cale's car and told everyone we would have to squish in...so we did and look at all that extra space. hahaha. and i'm not even lookin at the camera. seriously.

Here's the brothers and my favorite grandpa. =)

and my favorite...

Then of course it was fun to be in Lincoln on Sunday and hang out with some friends for a short bit, got to spend some time with Bama and she made this AWESOME meal for me. holy cow... and then back to Mich on Monday. It's getting to feel more and more like home each time I come back...I miss the weather and the pace, and of course my man...and there's something to be said about just being around your own things...home-y. =) But in a week and a half Ryan and Scipp and I will make our last and final trek to NE for a long time...cause it's getting uncomfortable to drive that far, and because we're not taking infants in the car with us for 8.5 hours, for our own sanity. But the fam and some girlfriends are having a shower for me, and Ryan will get to hang out with his bro in Lincoln, and Scipp will get to go on a long awaited hot date with her man and see some friends. =) Can't wait. This is pretty much a book, so I will bring it to a close. Thank you all for your concerns this weekend and for checkin up on me. Bye for now!
