Santas!!

The move is going well....as scheduled, we will be out of our apartment by the weekend!! Yesterday Rich, Josh, Nate, and Ry moved 97% of our apartment in the rain and snow....troopers. So now we're left with the random stuff that will probably fill more boxes than anticipated, and we will sleep on our aero bed for a few nights until we leave for NEB on Sunday, and return to our new home!!! Awesome.

Even more awesome...Santas stayed over night with us. Grammy and Grandpa Thomas will be surprised when we walk thru the doors with THESE!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Where has the year gone.

Well, not a day late, the boys are officially 1. WOW. Party was a hit, thanks to some hosting friends of ours- they had the perfect set up, since our house would not be good right now, and the apartment would be even worse. haha. Thanks Deb and Rich....

I thought this to be a good time to reflect on this time, last year....I will use some pictures to help you all do the same.
SICK.

Also, everyone should check out Katie Smith's blog right now...she's 7 months along and totally adorable...I think it's going really fast. =) Anyways, Erin and I thought it would be funny to compare me at seven months to her....NOT good. For example- her front view shows that her sides are still exactly in the same spot as pre-baby, whereas MINE, I was a GIANT circle already, and blew past my normal shape. actually, what the heck, here's a pic.

She def wins an award.

Anyhoo- on with the reflection....Aannnnddddd out they come. =)

Aaannnnnddddd here they are now. =) Just a short 12 months later...

Happy Birthday Boys!

Unload it.

The time is nearing...let's clear out the apartment. I have actually taken many a load in the bonny over to the new place and put a ton of boxes full of household items in the garage and the basement. I swear our apartment doesn't look any different. Until TONIGHT! Thanks to Garrett and Ethan, mostly Garrett though...it's taken him the past few weeks, but he can actually climb OVER the back of the couch now...and he would fall to his death (ok probably not) if we weren't there watching him. Of course with the way we had the place set up- all the fun things to eat/rip/destroy around our desk looked really exciting. We couldn't come up with a way to teach him NOT to climb over the couch (for his safety of course)...Ry suggested we just move the couch against the wall!! Brilliant! It's only about a mile away from the tv now in case we ever want to put in a movie before we move. Oh well...So, I reorganized some things and Ry helped me move the furniture and we packed up some more things to take to the house, so now this is what we're left with.

Not too bad! Feels like we made some progress anyway...the boys will wake up tomorrow and just run in circles I'm sure cause there's SO much space....Speaking of boys, they're really loving all the boxes we have around here. I'm sure they'll be missed. haha. No better toy....

*Sigh* So cute.

Holiday Festivities!

A few nights ago we hung out with our friends Bob and Jennifer Jackson. They have a 3 1/2 year old and twins that are a month younger than ours. What a blast!! There were too many pictures to choose from. haha. They live in a BEAUTIFUL home in Stevensville and it's probably like going to an amusement park for Ethan and Garrett cause they have SO MANY FUN THINGS!!! It was great food and great fun. We need to hang out with them more often...next time maybe Dylan can stay up a bit longer, his crib was calling him early so there aren't many pictures of him...haha

AND, house is coming along...tile man will finish up this weekend so they can start cabinets ASAP...that will change the look of the house completely! Can't wait! Don't think I"m going to get any seasonal decorating in though, moving out of our apartment...moving in right after xmas then headed back to NE for the wedding of the year...so we would miss out on decorating both places! I'll just have to live thru my friend's decorations, and Susie's house is pretty much like a Christmas store, so we'll just have to spend more time over there to get our fill of Holiday Spirit. =) But if THIS doesn't get you in the mood for xmas then there's something wrong. SO CUTE!

Also, Ry's bday is tomorrow, so you should all call him SATURDAY cause we'll have free minutes again!!! =) But don't mention that he's almost 30. HAHAAAHAaahaaHA

Well, the month of a million birthdays has begun...mine is TODAY!! woohoo! Erin's is today...and in a few days we will celebrate with Ry, then my mom, then Bama, then Briana, and then E&G! DANG!!! Really there area million more in December, but i'll only write about the first two weeks. =)

In honor of today, Papa Johns is going to make me a free medium chicken pizza, thanks to the superbook...I also spent some time today talking to many a family member and friend on the phone (thanks everyone for the bday wishes)...but sad to say, we have NO minutes on our phone until Saturday. This building a house stuff sucks up ALL the minutes. Anyhoo, boys have been great, they were getting kinda fussy but I said it was nap time, and so they will sleep. haha. Ry's comin home soon, and we will spend the night together as a family here at the apartment!! WOOHOO!!

OOOOOOOOh, The Weather outside is Frightful...

Not really, it's actually awesome and REALLY beautiful...The air is still, snow is still barely sprinkling, tree branches are Overloaded with snow! LOVE IT!!! Keep in mind if we were in Nebraska, the wind would have already either blown all the snow into huge drifts or iced everything into it's place, or it would be 80 degrees and the snow would be gone. hahaha. I love Southwest Michigan!

Makes me want to go skiing in Colorado...hmmm...anyone up for that??

In just 5 minutes....

Well, yesterday my good cousin-like friend Kara invited me to her parent's house in Lansing (she lives in Florida) to hang out for the day. It was SO much fun to see them again...especially since she had Zayne, who is 4 months of yumminess.

Let me tell you- these boys are going to be CRAZY when they hang out...Dale and Sherri (Kara's parents) have Kara and 4 younger brothers, back when we were still on the farm, between them and the four of us we got into some serious crap(literally- there seems to be a theme with poop recently on this blog). Most things our parents probably still don't know about- but we were dangerous/crazy. I think that's why our parents always stayed inside while we were together. We were too scary to watch. Anyways, now that Kara and I have sons- LOOKOUT. Our poor boys have SIX crazy uncles that I'm sure will be entertained for years dragging them into all kinds of stuff....Josiah came over yesterday- he skipped one of his college classes to see us-oops - but it was SO fun cause it's been 4 1/2 years since we've seen each other (he's in the military). SIGH. It was fun.

Zayne wasn't happy to have his picture taken...it was nap time. And E was eating, which is good cause I can't hold them both for very long- especially when they're wound up. haha

Kara, Sherri and I chased the boys around the basement for a while, then we made a run to Walmart, ate lunch, then chased the boys for a little longer...then Uncle Josiah came and suddenly I wasn't as important. haha. He walked thru the doors and both boys came quickly over to him- huge grins- holding on to his pant legs...like they were totally waiting for him to come home or something. So cute. Then he found many ways to entertain them on Micah's therapy stuff...Micah was just sitting on the couch watching all the action....he even-reluctantly I'm sure- let us change (many) poopy diapers on his tilt table- hahaha (thanks!!)

And of course we had to make a mess sometime on the trip...

And then we came home and had a wonderful evening of pizza with Deb and Rich, and later Uncle Whitey came over for a hair cute and story time....

the end of a GREAT day. =)

NEW TITLE: Here's the squishy

It's been a while and much has happened. Sigh.

Erin and Josh visited last weekend and the time flew by, as usual. There was, however, quite the story that I must document. And it goes like this....

Erin and Marth are in the kitchen making enchilada soup. Yummo. Ry and Josh are in charge of entertaining the boys, which really is more like make sure they don't get into anything dangerous, make a huge mess, or bleed. Easy enough... Josh is on the computer, Ry's reading a magazine in the living room, E and G in their own little world wandering around the room. Time to change a couple of REALLY wet diaps. Ry does his fatherly duty and decides that since G's diap was SO FULL of pee, he would let him air dry for a few seconds. (Already some of you are shaking your heads because they know what's about to follow) All of a sudden we hear a series of "OOOOOHHHHHH MY GOOOOSHHHH!!!! AHHHHHH!!!' NOOOO!!!!" Erin and I stop dead in our tracks, turn around and G is diaperless (I wasn't aware of this) crouched over top of a squishy mess, fists clenched with brownish/green mess oozing out between his fingers. Huge grin on his face, chomping his mouth. Did he eat it? no one knows. E is also inches away from putting his hands in disaster....Josh comes bolting over top of the couch to assist Ry, who picks up G and goes straight for the tub, holding both arms out away from his body so he couldn't wipe/eat/smear/touch anything! Then he starts yelling for me to help him take off G's clothes. Somewhere in there the little phone toy the boys played with had found it's way into the pile of poop, which we decided to just throw out completely...don't miss that really annoying beep it made...plus the poop was in the cracks of the buttons. Sick. So both boys get a really long bath, emergency laundry is started, Josh lovingly cleans the poop pile/stain on the carpet, and Erin and I continue in the kitchen because the boy patrol was not our duty to begin with. hahaha. Makes for a good story!!

Just a little fun at the Thomas house...

Can't resist em.

This is so dang cute. I LOVE FALL!!

WELL...

I don't have much of my valuable nap time left, so I'll have to make this quick!

There are so many more cute pictures of the guys to post up, but there are SO many that I'll just have to do a little slideshow action when I get a chance. Stay tuned.

Also- G is randomly taking a few steps now...he gets super excited! It's kinda funny. Ethan pretty much walks around all the time now...Garrett is just so DANG FAST at crawling, I think he sees walking as a waste of time. But he looks at Ethan like he wants to do it...so I"m sure that's right around the corner, and then he'll just go straight to running. Hahaha.

Erin and Josh are coming up this weekend - Josh has monday and tuesday off next week so they'll stay Friday night to Tuesday! woo hoo!! It's always fun when they visit, and I'm glad they like to travel as much as they do cause it's way easier for people to come to us then the other way around! Doesn't stop us though! Nebraska here we come in 2 months!!! yessssss

Amber is out in NY right now, she totally got a job, maybe a few by the time she returns home tomorrow, which means she'll be moving early part of '09 and be able to stop and stay in the NEW and improved Thomas INN and SuiteS (plural now that we'll have more than one room)!!

Heather and Nate-o returned from their honeymoon and have some SWEET pictures to check out....there's a link on her blog for your convenience =)

St. Joe and Lakeshore get to play each other on Friday night in (what Ry says) will be the biggest game in YEARS!!! You can imagine how excited I am!!! It's gonna be packed. We are now in playoff mode, St Joe is #2, we're #4 in the state. Should be good, gonna have to bring the thermos - high of 40-something. This is the second time we've played St. Joe this year, the first time, we fumbled with seconds left of the 4 quarter when we had only like 2-3 yards to go to score. DANG. It was a nail biter. Anyhoo, all very interesting to you all I'm sure, but that's gonna be fun.

House stuff is comin right along...drywall guys had to come back this week and finish up little parts here and there...then painting this week, pour the back patio step (for the second time) Wednesday, they come and do the final grade on the yard Thursday, then next week will start the tile work inside!!! YAHOO! Now I'm getting excited to move in.

And finally, it's almost time to VOTE and get this election mumbo-jumbo over with. And then we can talk about it for the next 6 months. yeahh see you at the poll! (pole? like the prayer day at school?) haha

Pooh Squared

HAPPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

St. Joe/Stevensville celebrated a night early due to home football game traffic. Good idea. Let all the credit go to Mrs. Deb Eidam and the soon-to-be Stephanie Plouzek. These costumes were perchased on their visit to see the boys LAST Christmas! How they knew what size to get...you have to be a baby expert I'd say. Anyways, we had lots of fun suprising our friends and Joe and Susie and the boys didn't seem to mind to much either. So cute!

This however...not so cute...WOW.

OH MAN. Talk about blackmail. I should NEVER wear yellow. hahahaaa. Anyhoo, these were on Emily and Josh's camera, so I'll have to add some more that we took earlier when I get a chance at home. Have fun tomorrow night everyone - make good choices!!

THAT'S IT.

man. You can almost call me a non-blogger.

At any rate, we've been experiencing all the fun fall things up here...Ryan took a 5 day trip with his office to San Antonio for some ADA really huge thing, meanwhile back at the ranch, my mom and my grandma came all the way out to hang out with the boys and me so I wouldn't be too overwhelmed. She brought along a GIANT lady bug that's super soft and the boys love to jump on it. Hilarious. We also shopped for a day with the luxury of a minivan (thank you Schoonvelds), went to visit Susie at the Christmas Tree (I could buy that whole store this year- AWESOME stuff), got some dog sitting in for the Whitey's, took some cute pictures at JC Penny's, church, small group, lots of house stuff done, eating out, eating in, food food and more food. It was a fast 5 days. Thanks for coming!
Does this look like Ry's face or what.

grammas by the water. =)

Then of course BEFORE that we went to Jolley Orchards...which was fun if the weather would have been more fall-like...a bit too hot for apple cider. I have also been on quite a few hayrack rides in my day, and that was no hay rack ride. I think Oakland spoiled me. (never said THAT before- haha) But when you go anywhere with the Scoonys and Whitey's, your in for a good time.

House update: The outside is DONE! stone, siding, driveway/patio poured, garage doors on, front and back door on....as soon as we get a crappy lock on there we can start putting finishing products inside!! (I guess we put a crappy one on so that we don't ruin the nice ones with all the stuff that happens before it's finished. good idea Leo) And inside...the finish drywallers are hard at work. Pretty soon they'll start the sand storm, and in about 2 weeks we should be on the way to having a painted empty house! AND, this is exciting - last night we ordered a sleep number Select Comfort bed yesterday, to be delivered closer to the move in date (where would we put it in the apartment?!?!?) White's gave us a sweet coupon so we got some serious savings. boo yaaaa. Translation= WE HAVE A GUEST BED!!!...(the new one is ours, sorry. haha) But you all have a place to stay now that's not the floor!!! Pants, I know you're thinking it, we will still have the same couch, just in case it's calling you to sleep on it when you're here. haha.
Haven't taken a finished front picture yet, so you'll just have to imagine!

Here's the guest room. looks so comfy and homey right now huh. haha

Ry brought home some special treats for the boys from his conference...check it out. Cute!

Ok, hopefully this made up for my lack of blog in the recent past...stay tuned for more exciting twinies! Promise it won't be as long this time!!
