Pooh Squared

HAPPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

St. Joe/Stevensville celebrated a night early due to home football game traffic. Good idea. Let all the credit go to Mrs. Deb Eidam and the soon-to-be Stephanie Plouzek. These costumes were perchased on their visit to see the boys LAST Christmas! How they knew what size to get...you have to be a baby expert I'd say. Anyways, we had lots of fun suprising our friends and Joe and Susie and the boys didn't seem to mind to much either. So cute!

This however...not so cute...WOW.

OH MAN. Talk about blackmail. I should NEVER wear yellow. hahahaaa. Anyhoo, these were on Emily and Josh's camera, so I'll have to add some more that we took earlier when I get a chance at home. Have fun tomorrow night everyone - make good choices!!

THAT'S IT.

man. You can almost call me a non-blogger.

At any rate, we've been experiencing all the fun fall things up here...Ryan took a 5 day trip with his office to San Antonio for some ADA really huge thing, meanwhile back at the ranch, my mom and my grandma came all the way out to hang out with the boys and me so I wouldn't be too overwhelmed. She brought along a GIANT lady bug that's super soft and the boys love to jump on it. Hilarious. We also shopped for a day with the luxury of a minivan (thank you Schoonvelds), went to visit Susie at the Christmas Tree (I could buy that whole store this year- AWESOME stuff), got some dog sitting in for the Whitey's, took some cute pictures at JC Penny's, church, small group, lots of house stuff done, eating out, eating in, food food and more food. It was a fast 5 days. Thanks for coming!
Does this look like Ry's face or what.

grammas by the water. =)

Then of course BEFORE that we went to Jolley Orchards...which was fun if the weather would have been more fall-like...a bit too hot for apple cider. I have also been on quite a few hayrack rides in my day, and that was no hay rack ride. I think Oakland spoiled me. (never said THAT before- haha) But when you go anywhere with the Scoonys and Whitey's, your in for a good time.

House update: The outside is DONE! stone, siding, driveway/patio poured, garage doors on, front and back door on....as soon as we get a crappy lock on there we can start putting finishing products inside!! (I guess we put a crappy one on so that we don't ruin the nice ones with all the stuff that happens before it's finished. good idea Leo) And inside...the finish drywallers are hard at work. Pretty soon they'll start the sand storm, and in about 2 weeks we should be on the way to having a painted empty house! AND, this is exciting - last night we ordered a sleep number Select Comfort bed yesterday, to be delivered closer to the move in date (where would we put it in the apartment?!?!?) White's gave us a sweet coupon so we got some serious savings. boo yaaaa. Translation= WE HAVE A GUEST BED!!!...(the new one is ours, sorry. haha) But you all have a place to stay now that's not the floor!!! Pants, I know you're thinking it, we will still have the same couch, just in case it's calling you to sleep on it when you're here. haha.
Haven't taken a finished front picture yet, so you'll just have to imagine!

Here's the guest room. looks so comfy and homey right now huh. haha

Ry brought home some special treats for the boys from his conference...check it out. Cute!

Ok, hopefully this made up for my lack of blog in the recent past...stay tuned for more exciting twinies! Promise it won't be as long this time!!

Man they're cute. Who's kids are they anyways. haha

Here's some of what's been happening here in Mich. Picking out house stuff...almost done with it now...they finished drywalling the upstairs over the weekend and now they're on the main floor. SO, that project is almost done! Then we just get to sit back and watch!

Side note, Ethan is very good at stepping around...he does it all the time. Garrett, not so much. He's too busy rolling around on the couch or chasing balls around. I was going to post a video of it but it's taking forever so too bad. =) Just have to wait...

Happy Anniversary To Us!

What a great month to get married!! Fall weather, changing leaves, beautiful colors, warm clothes on cool nights, coffee....mmmm. LOVE LOVE FALL.

Today marks two wonderful years of marital bliss. =) And we have two wonderful children to celebrate it with us!! Love you Ry!

Ethan was so consumed with joy that he took 3 steps tonight at gramma's house! He was saving em for a day that would be easy to remember!

Fun fact!!

The boys are currently wearing Size 3 diaps. Looking at the boxes we've collected from Sam's (they're huge and can be used for moving later)....I've changed over 1000 size 3 diapers. What a load of crap!

Bringin down the HOUSE!

Can't remember the last picture of the house I put up...the stairs maybe?? Well, much has happened since... As of today...
1. Insulation happening RIGHT NOW
2. Fireplace installed (but they forgot a part so I didn't take a pic yet of it)
3. Almost half of the house has siding
4. Electrical/plumbing rough-in is done
5. Cabinets and tile decided on
6. Interior doors picked out
7. Appliances picked out, thank you Joe Thomas

What needs to happen soon...
1. Pick out carpet
2. Pick wall colors
3. Pick out counter tops
4. Decide tonight about lighting fixtures
5. Get fireplace done
6. Drywall starts either tomorrow or Monday

Ongoing things...
1. Boys!
2. small group, women's bible study (weekly), and a parenting class (every other week)
3. Make sure people keep getting paid on time.
4. Don't get screwed because I don't know anything.

Good luck to me!

watch the insulation men in action!! It's actually really old crushed up newspaper recycled (obviously) and mix it with a little water and it becomes sticky enough to just be blown into place and stay. Amazing! And then the another guy come around behind the blower and brushes off the extra, and then another guy comes thru and sucks up all the stuff on the floors to be reused, and then another guy sweeps off all the windows and spaces that shouldn't have that stuff on it, and then three or four more guys run around with not so obvious jobs. But the stuff is all light and super fluffy. Like gray snow falling. that's so nice. Anyhoo, I watched em for a long time and they probably thought I was very strange taking so many pictures of insulation. Hey, when it's cool, it's cool. hhahahaaaa.
