Petzke's!

Well we had a good ol' time with some friends of ours tonight...Lars and Liz Petzke came over for soup and some (Susie-made) apple pie...mmm..and the boys always have fun together. It always gets a bit interesting though for meals, cause the three little people distract each other and pretty much want to play instead of sit still for food. You could tell the boys LOVED having another little guy over, even though Carter is more than a year older than them, they just kinda followed him around the house. =)

nice hand prints on the fireplace huh? Everyday. Awesome.

But then a wrestling match broke out! We were all laughing SO hard, well everyong but Ethan... you can see him just observing the whole thing pretty much in every picture. Oh my. But it was like in slow motion, they were just giggling and hugging each other....awwww. Wait a year and the 'wrestling matches' will likely end with either blood or tears...

Thanks for coming over guys! We had a blast!

Kinda late on this one...

Well we've been back from NE for a few weeks now...and the whole reason we went there was to celebrate my friends', Steph & Brad, wedding....we had a BLAST, the wedding was beautiful, there are a few pictures in the slide show of the decorations, done by Beth Schweitz, click on her name to see more pictures of the decorations at the wedding...it was fun to see people again that I haven't seen for a while and I wish there were more pictures. My motto: you probably don't have enough pictures, so just keep taking them. =) And the FAV of the bunch I didn't even take, it was sent to me by the other set of twins' grandma (thanks!!!) Super cute!!! Steph and the boys!!! (martha's scanner= take a picture of the picture-haha)

And of course, the little guys in their tuxes looked SOOOOO CUTE!!!! They did pretty great during the wedding. Dad walked down the aisle holding them and the other two ran in circles around Ry's feet kicking the petals. haa. And then they just made a quick escape to the church's cry room and watched the rest of the ceremony from there. Took some pictures with a HUGE group of people after the ceremony- the WHOLE wedding party- and I held BOTH of them for the series of shots. Couldn't feel my arms. Hoped they turned out, I'm sure my face is bright red. haha. Then they took a nap whilst on the way to the reception with Ry and Uncle Pants, partied the night away on the dance floor (staying up til about 12:30 Mich time) and headed home completely wiped, only to get sick with the rest of the family the next day. But it was TOTALLY worth it!!!! Check out the pictures! =) Love you Steph!

Beautiful.

Few things to report...

EMILY IS HAVING A BABY TODAY (just a guess)!!! wooohoooo!!!

I got in on the action yesterday as Josh (her hubs) was on his way back from a day trip for work to Ohio...I was on call, and who would have thought that she would actually NEED ME!! Awesome. So, we checked her in and just hung out for a few hours until Josh got there...it's almost 4:00 here right now, which means in a little bit she will have been in the hospital for 24 hours. And no baby yet. Oh my. She might beat my record! (31 hours- I know, that was a long time ago, I almost forgot too) Here's a picture of her when we got to the hospital...with her baby... =)

Chances are good that the babe will show today...and I've been informed that I'm on the 'CALL IMMEDIATELY' list. =) What makes it EXTRA exciting is that they don't know if it will be a boy or girl.....(I vote girl- Ry says boy)

Anyhoo, in the mean time, we've been busy here, I cut the boys' hair yesterday...hehehe They look super cute, like little men! Let's face it parents...we are the ONLY ones who 'can't let go' of the mullet on our kids. No one else thinks is cute. Chop chop chop!

*bonus points if you know who's who by the back of their heads*

AND....we have an ISLAND!!! woohoo!! The boys had front row seats for a while to watch all the action...and to keep them out of the way..haha...until they started using the sealer/adhesive stuff that smells like it should be illegal. Then we went upstairs. But that was fun, and I'm glad it's done now cause setting things on our makeshift island was getting to be a bit unorganized. check it out!!

and for those of you who want to know...here's what it looks like close up

nice! Ok, boys are up from their nap and ready to come down to see the finished product! Counter top- done. Internet man- here and done. Driveway- shoveled. My arms- noodles. Check back for more news on Baby Whitey!!

where has the time gone.

I've been feeling lately that the boys are HUGE. not only in my arms...but their clothes, appetites, stomachs, the loudness of their 'talking' voice...oh my. 13 months. poof.

Ryan decided last minute Thursday evening to join the group of Younglife skiers in need of another adult sponsor...(Schoony's on picture patrol-haha schoony's on patrol??-haha - so expect some good ones to show up here soon) so I have been busying myself with visits with friends and phone calls and house stuff to make the time go by...but then at night there's just me and the sleeping babes in this big empty house....weird. The cabinet guy was supposed to come over this morning at 10. So I was gone (because to be here with him and the boys is just awkward) at 9:30 to visit Smith's, only to get a phone call at 11:30 saying he wasn't even going to be there until 1. Seriously?? And then an hour later...(keep in mind he's got a full day of work left, so I planned a full day to not be home...) he calls again and says he's not coming until tomorrow morning. Awesome. Why do people do this? Let your yes be yes people. So anyways...I have church and our parenting class tomorrow so that pretty much means I'll be gone again ALL DAY. He can work in peace. He has no choice, the counter tops are coming first part of next week. I have found that same thing with many of the workers in our house project along the way....you would think that people with a labor/skill-type job would realize that WHEN THEY WORK, they get paid....thus since things are slow nowadays....you should be free to do your job quickly, and be available for the next thing to get lined up. NOT SO. People still spread it out, like they're super busy and will try to find time to work a few hours here and there. ??

At any rate, enough about that. Bill stopped by today while I was out and finished hooking up our stereo stuff. AWESOME!!! We have 8 ceiling speakers on our main floor, and three in our bed/bathroom upstairs. And, stealing the idea from the Hawaii house we stayed at, purchased a 'zone' control thing that sits by the receiver so I can turn on/off speakers for whatever room I want....it's so sweet. Except that the only thing hooked up is the radio, so I need to go purchase another few cords to get the DVD and tv in on the fun, and get a sweet cd player to top it off. yessssss. And after all that - I get to organize the wires back there and make it look presentable (even though no one sees it??) hahaha. ok I'm a freak.

At any rate, full day ahead of me, better get to bed. Good night, and good luck. haha

Found!

Guess where it was.....it's VERY SAFE location was in a bag of the boys' clothes just waiting to be finally unpacked today. Seriously. But anyways, glad the search is over, and I'm back at the pictures! I ran around the house today snapping pics and celebrating, here's what I came up with...
Of course we're not even close to being done....few comments, doesn't the furniture look SWEET in there!? Also, door knobs are all on as of today. yessss...by this weekend the island cabinets and granite will be finished...good buy walk-thru island! Plus Ry has hit his head on that light too many times. The basement storage stuff is organized, just a few random things to sort thru and find a place for...boys are loving it, in the last week they went from being pretty unsure about the new bigness to running around chasing each other, pushing things across the tile floor, peek-a-boo around the island, climbing up and down the fireplace, and totally in love with the stairs. hilarious. Things are going great...AND if you notice the last picture, the new addition to our tools, boo yaa...I can do some damage with that thing....now I just need another project...

Easy way out....

Anyone want to read in detail about our vacation??? Just read my sis's update, couldn't have written it better myself...mostly because I don't have time. =) SO, there you have it. Pictures and all! Good job Erin!

We are Alive!!

We JUST got the internet tonight.
We have been in our new house for 6 days now.
It's still very huge and empty.
The boys are starting to get used to waking up in somewhere 'new'.
We have blinds in the upstairs as of yesterday. (yessssss)
Need to get blinds for the downstairs.
Don't know where the camera is. Probably still and a box....hmmm
Need to get used to cooking with a different oven. (Cookies tasted a bit funny tonight)
Still small things to finalize, and am realizing that we will probably always have something to be working on.
I scooped my sidewalk today with a smile.

Welcome home ownership. More importantly, welcome myself BACK TO YOU ALL!!!
