It's already been a week since the last post. Every night it seems I think about 'hm, maybe I should write something quick'. Nope. Doesn't' happen. Now it's Friday morning and I have Ethan here by my side trying to slap the laptop keys, so we'll see how long this lasts. haha.
Family reunion last weekend was AWESOME! Very short, but awesome. So good to see everyone...mostly everyone. We were short 2 cousins and their other halves, one sister, Dallas, and one crazy uncle Ron and his family, but he never comes. So, pretty good turn out if you ask me. I'll put up some pics from that soon. No time right now.
Things are on schedule with the house...we have a waterproofed basement and backfill to go with it. Apparently, it takes a few trips back from the excavator to backfill...they run hose water around in all the corners and stuff so that the dirt settles more and more and more, and he'll just keep comping back to put more dirt on it so that the chances of our basement floor/garage floor don't crack after they pour it. Nice. So, by this time tomorrow morning, all things mentioned will be complete and ready for the framer on Monday! That's totally record time, since they started digging the hole last Wednesday. Yeah for a crappy economy- everyone's schedule has been free to do work for us! ? Framing is going to be awesome to watch....yess This week Bill helped me pick out the stone, siding, fireplace, and we started on the cupboards. That's going to take a few visits to get nailed down. Again, no time for pictures, keep checking back. =)
And today, you are all missing the event of a lifetime. Those of you who are out-of-towners, and those of you from Ryan's office that looked at me like I was crazy recruiting people for the sidelines... You guessed it, today is NASCHAIR DAY!!! Check out the website. Hilarious. http://www.thenaschairchallenge.com/origin.htm.
These are people we know who started this, which makes it even funnier. More funny? Anyhoo, the office put together a little 'dental chair' to race. There are 4 people on each team; the pusher, Ryan, the rider, Neal's son Carsten, and two 'side guides', Neal and his other son Collin. Also going on today is 'chalk the block' in which CRAZY good artists come from all over and draw on the sidewalk in downtown St. Joe. So the boys and I will have quite the afternoon walkin and watching the people draw. Everyone who's anyone will be there. hahaha.
AND, Ry's bro Nate is home for a week, so we get to spend some time with him!
WOW. That's a lot going on. ooo other little guys is wakin up. Action time!

NASCHAIR would be awesome! :) As would 'chalk the block'. Dang. We live somewhere completely boring. Hey did they have the Venetian Festival yet?
LOL NASCHAIR sounds hilarious! I think Carsten better break out all the rollerblade protective gear knowing how competitive Ryan is!
