Valentine Fun!

Brown School was closed yesterday and today, so we had a slumber party with Hunter and Alyssa! Yesterday we went to bible study, did some painting during nap time, played Twister, ate some food, bounced a LOT, hung out with the dads during ladies night out! Whew it was a full day!! And this morning, the boys got to see their valentine present from Deb and Bill, some Buzz and Woody Valentines, candies, and flashlights!!! They were SO excited it was hilarious. We were all laughing! the flashlights are especially cool cause they have little clear caps that pop on the end of the light and display toy story images on the walls! the boys loved it!! check out this video....and then picture this same thing for about 30 minutes straight!!

So cute. After that was fun, then we went to the Valentine work station, since Hunter and Alyssa and Ashley brought over some different toy story ones to send, we REALLY had some fun! So the kids all worked together to make a list of the boys' friends and helped stuff envelopes to send em out. =) And now we're out playing in the snow! All while Sydney is taking her morning nap. SIGH. It's great to have the kids here to entertain the boys. =)

and here's one of Sydney cause she's so cute. =)

more to come on the snow pictures!

mmmm frosting!

This evening we had the pleasure of decorating some Valentine cookies, everyone was involved...frosting and sprinkles everywhere! it was awesome!!! The boys, of course, were totally practiced up from when Eidams were here a few weeks ago. Garrett spent most his time eating, and Ethan was sprinkling. hahaa. Thanks for coming over guys, it was a blast!

Here is the fruits of our labor! yummo!! (don't know why the picture keeps loading sideways...sorry)

A lot of people have been telling me this last week that Sydney looks like Ethan now. Personal opinion...well, actually I'll just leave that a secret as to not bias your viewing here shortly. We did a little flash back to when the boys were 2 months old (and I discovered I took waaaay more pictures of them then I do of Sydney...better step it up!) So what you're about to see is some of them followed by some of Sydney now, at two months. GO.

and the little lady...

HA! SO cute! Ok, maybe I will tell you my thoughts... First of all, the size is TOTALLY different. At Syd's appt today, she weighed in at 13 lbs 9 oz. Pretty sure the boys didn't hit that until like month 4. haha. And also, she has my clear hair goin on, and since Ethan's is lighter than G's, people might think they look more alike. But as far as face shape...she's pretty much a round chubby like Garrett...but in pink. =) What do you think?? Also feel free to write any comments about the Schoonvelds...put those in there on purpose. hahahaaaaaaaa

Snow!

Well, this morning the boys had their first taste of some outdoor winter fun, cold air, puffy clothes, snot running down their faces....it was awesome! And of course they had their friends to keep em company out there (I had a babe to hang with) =)

I thought they did pretty good, they were out there for a good 30 minutes, and then it was time for lunch and nap. They didn't really want to come inside it seemed, but both their cheeks were bright pink and snot was everywhere. haha. Ethan's pants crack me up! New favorite game, ring around the rosie, waaaaay more fun when you can fall down on snow! Ashley made hot chocolate and pizza for all of us when we came in and it was a great way to warm up! Thanks for coming over guys!

New Year Eve!

I was looking thru our pictures on the camera and discovered that I had a few from New Years Eve, and turns out, I didn't even put em up! MAN! SO, here's a 2-week-late update.

Schoony's and Whites came over to hang out for the evening, it was a blast. Heather bought a RIDICULOUSLY hard puzzle - 2000 pieces of trees on a mountain. It was unreal, actually it's still only about 3/4 done and coming back to our house tomorrow. YES. Anyhoo, we just hung out and chatted, Skyped with Erin and Josh and Renae, puzzled, and played Monopoly. Can't believe her kids could stay up that late! AND since we don't have tv, we watched the ball drop (for you NE people- it's crazy to see it ACTUALLY DROP at midnight! haha) on the laptop and toasted our sparkling peach and raspberry beverages. It was pretty fun....but we all looked pretty dang tired when they left. WOW. The boys only saw about 9:30, and Sydney cashed out shortly after that, which is OK with me. haha! Enjoy some pictures!
